Pete Beltramo

Obituary of Pete Beltramo

Pete Beltramo passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024 in Chico, CA at the Arbor Post Acute facility where he received excellent care the last few months of his life. Pete was born on January 26, 1935 in Los Angeles CA to Albert and Nellie Beltramo. He was the middle child of a family of 5. The family farmed in the San Fernando Valley until moving north to Moorpark CA in the 50’s. In 1958 he was drafted into the Army. After a short time in boot camp he was discharged due to a heart murmur. At this time he returned to farming with his brothers and father. This is where he met his wife of almost 50 years, Sondra Jo. Of course at a coffee shop where she was a waitress. Pete loved his times in the coffee shop! Between the two of them they had 4 children; Barbara McKampson, Gary McKampson, Ken Beltramo and Tracie Beltramo. In 1972 Pete, Jo and their offspring followed the rest of the Beltramo clan north to Chico, CA where Pete joined his brothers Tommy and Donnie to farm 500 acres of row crops. He and his brothers continued to farm until selling the Beltramo Ranch in 2004. Pete was proud of his Italian heritage and was a member of Sons of Italy for many years and always was up for a night out for spaghetti with meatballs and red wine. In 2006, Pete had the opportunity to travel with his daughter Tracie to Torino Italy to visit his first cousin Maria and her family. He is survived by his brothers Tom, (Ginger), Don Beltramo (Mary), Daughter Tracie Womack (Mark), son Ken Beltramo (NIcole), grandchildren Blake, Karlie Heynneman and Teresa Justice (Brad), Step daughter Barbara McKampson her children, Mathew, Patrick, Nathan and many nieces and nephews. Graveside Service will be held on April 18, 2024 12 pm at Glen Oaks Cemetery.
